Is the BJP with the YSRCP or against it? The party itself seems quite unclear about it. At the Central level, both Narendra Modi and Amit Shah seem to have some soft corner for YSRCP and its leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. They have time and again displayed this love openly. Modi himself went out of the way to green Vijaysai Reddy on many an occasion. Modi even gave appointment to Jagan several times, while even KCR is struggling to get an appointment.
But, at the state level, the local BJP unit is trying to put spokes in everything that the YSRCP government is doing. For instance, BJP leader Sudhish Rambhotla has filed a case against the imposition of English medium in the government schools of Andhra Pradesh. The court quashed the AP Government's decision. Similarly, when the AP government stopped a large number of migrants who came from Hyderabad, it was the BJP which went to the court and got a verdict in its favour. Even on the SEC issue, it is the BJP which is more active. It went to the court on the issue of removal of Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar.
Even BJP state president Kanna Lakshminarayana too has time and again criticized the YSRCP on many issues. In fact, he is more strident than the TDP leaders themselves. So, which side the BJP is on? Is it with Chandrababu or with YS Jagan?
