Finally, State Symbols Chosen After 4 Years!

Update: 2018-05-31 07:15 GMT
It appears that Chandrababu Naidu doesn't take a right decision at the right time.  It is possible only for Chandrababu government to delay the crucial decisions regarding the sate post bifurcation.

The state has to choose state symbols like bird, flower etc.  But the process took nearly four years.  After several discussions, the government has finalised the state symbols.   Jasmine flower which is prevalent in the AP is chosen as the state flower.  The state bird of the undivided AP was Indian Roller(Palapitta). Now, residual AP has chosen rose-ringed parakeet (Ramachiluka).

On the other hand, Telangana continues to have Palapitta as the state bird.  Seeing Palapitta on Dussehra day is regarded as auspicious in Telangana and the number of birds is high in Telangana.

AP has retained blackbuck(Krishna Jinka) as the state animal.  Telangana changed its state animal and adopted deer as its state animal.  AP has continued Neem tree(Vepa Chettu) as the state tree.   The only notable change is the bird and flower.  But why did this process take four years is a million dollar question!
