CM Jagan is in no mood to ignore any of the poll promises he made to the people of Andhra Pradesh while seeking their mandate during 2019 Elections. He is determined to implement phased liquor ban in the state and necessary amendments were made to 1993 State Excise Act already.

 YCP Government decided to take over the retail liquor business. In the first phase, 1/5th of the existing liquor shops were shut down. Stringent measures have been taken to discourage liquor consumption among public. Take a look at them...

i) An Individual can't have more than 3 liquor bottles

ii) Liquor Consumption in public places is prohibited

iii) Ban on Permit Rooms at Liquor Outlets

iv) Liquor Shops will remain closed after 9 pm

By 2024, Complete liquor prohibition will be implemented in Andhra Pradesh by the YCP Government. AP is likely to be the dry state once again after over two decades.
