AP Budget 2018: Key Highlights!

Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu presented Andhra Pradesh Budget for the financial year 2018-19 Today. He claimed a Budget to the tune of Rs 1.91 lakh crore is being presented with the aim of making every citizen in the state a happy person. Compared to the budget 2017-18, There is an increase of 21.69 percent this year.  

Revenue Surplus is projected as Rs 5,235 crore

Fiscal Deficit is estimated to be Rs 24,205 crore which is over Rs 3,000 crore lower than that of last financial year.

Per Capita Income of the state increased to Rs 1,42,054 in 2017-18 from Rs 1,23,664 in 2016-17. The growth is about 14.87 percent.

Key Allocations:

Education - Rs 24,185 crore

Rural Development - Rs 20,815 crore

Irrigation - Rs 16,978 crore

Welfare Schemes - Rs 13,722 crore (increase of 20.78 percent)

Agriculture and Allied Services - Rs 12,355 crore

BC Welfare: Rs 12,200 crore

Polavaram: Rs 9,000 crore

Home Ministry: Rs 6,226 crore

Fuel Sector: 5,052 crore

Transportation: Rs 4,353 crore

Farm Loan Waiver: Rs 4,100 crore

Drinking Water and Sanitation: Rs 2,623 crore

Kapu Welfare: Rs 1,000 crore

Employment Creation: Rs 912 crore

Fibre Grid: Rs 600 crore

Tourism Ministry: Rs 290 crore

Med Tech Zone: Rs 270 crore

Anna Canteen: Rs 200 crore

Start-Ups: Rs 100 crore

NTR Jalasiri: Rs 100 crore

Toddy Workers Welfare: Rs 70 crore

Medharulu Welfare/Nayi Brahmins Welfare/Vaishya Welfare: Rs 30 crore each

Transgender Welfare: Rs 20 crore

Finance Minister estimates Revenue Expenditure could touch Rs 1.5 lakh crore (increase of 19.35 percent) and Capital Expenditure Rs 28,678 crore (increase of 30.60 percent) in financial year 2018-19.
