Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu directed the officials to take all measures for the strict implementation of 'No Helmet - No Petrol' rule in Andhra Pradesh from Thursday. 'Wearing Helmet & Seatbelt should be made mandatory as negligence leads to death when a mishap happens. This rule must be implemented in all petrol bunks across the state,' he told officials during the review meeting.
Babu stressed the necessity to create awareness among people about responding whenever they witness a road mishap. He told public should be given an assurance that they willn't face any problems from cops for helping the victims. He added, 'Take stringent action on drunk drivers. Conduct Vehicles Check once in a week to ensure proper implementation of road safety measures'.
CM released Rs 10 crore for procuring the equipment required for the road safety on Highways. He directed Authorities to sack the employees who aren't performing their duties.
