As per World Bank's latest report, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand occupy the 1st, 2nd and 3rd spots in terms of ease of doing Business. While Gujarat scores 71.14%, AP and Jharkhand manage to get 70.12% and 63.09% respectively.
Chhattisgarh (62.45%) and Madhya Pradesh (62%) are the two other states in Top 5. Rajasthan (61.04%), Odisha (52.12%), Maharashtra (49.43%), Karnataka (48.59%) and Uttar Pradesh (47.37%) are the states to occupy 6th to 10th Positions.
Telangana is at 13th Spot with a score of 42.45% and it is lagging behind even West Bengal (46.90%) and Tamil Nadu (44.58%).
Meghalaya (4.38%), Nagaland (3.41%) and Arunachal Pradesh (1.23%) have been ranked worst. These are states to score less than 5% in the World Bank report.
