In the process of achieving his dream to turn AP as Singapore, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Monday unveiled the 'Blueprint for IT, Electronics & e-Governance' for the state.
 
The blue print foreseeing the strategies, targets to be achieved by the state by 2020. By revealing the details AP IT Minister Dr Palle Raghunatha Reddy said that Andhra Pradesh will soon termed as The Sunrise State, owing to the great opportunities it would pose in the IT, ITeS, Electronics and associated industries.

‘’Vision of this blueprint is to develop AP as an Innovation Society of global repute with a focus on enhancing the quality of life of its citizens, through high-quality education and healthcare, increased productivity in agriculture and allied activities, creation of employment by promoting Electronics and IT and above all, by providing Good Governance. ‘Palle said

the minister revealed that total three missions have been identified, namely, Electronics & IT Mission, Innovation & Capacity Building Mission and e-Governance Mission. Along with that total 18 Policies & Frameworks were included in blueprint for the growth of IT industry in the State.
 
Electronics policy target is to attract investments up to Rs.50, 000 Crores which in turns  create an employment of about 4 lakh people in state setting up 20 Electronic Manufacturing Clusters (EMCs) and 200 industries across the state.Innovation & Capacity Building Mission targets at least One Entrepreneur and One IT Literate from Each Household.

Along with the policies and strategies the Importance to update the current course curriculum in the technical institutes in the state to match the industry needs is also discussed. Naidu indicated that a committee be formed in concurrence with the Higher Technical Education Department to study and understand the global requirements of the industry and recommend the necessary changes in the course curriculum.Naidu directed the department to bring the two Policies, Electronics Policy and Innovation & Start-up Policy at the earliest and start working on attracting investments into the State.
