Legendary spinner Anil Kumble is the front-runner to be the next head coach of Team India.
Out of 57 Applications received, BCCI has shortlisted 21 of them and asked them to face interviews Yesterday. BCCI Advisory Committee Members Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman prepared the questionnaire.
After Tuesday's interviews, Six out of 21 Aspirants were shortlisted. This include Anil Kumble, Ravi Shastri, Praveen Amre, Tom Moody, Lalchand Rajput and Stuart Law.
The two common questions asked by Advisory Committee members to the six of them: i) Why should you be made the Coach?, ii) What are your plans to increase the win ratio while playing abroad?
All of the six aspirants have given presentations and disclosed their plans for betterment of Indian cricket. Kumble's was the longest presentation and he came up with different blueprints for all the three formats. The Advisory Committee is quite impressed and likely to suggest his name as Team India's next coach.
