Members of Women Associations led by All Indian Democratic Women Association (AIDWA) staged a 48-hour hunger strike against Visakha Police for not filing case against Ram Gopal Varma who made 'God, Sex and Truth' and objectionable comments on AIDWA Member Mani during a live debate.
AIDWA Mani offered a written complaint at MVP Police in Visakha. However, Cops haven't filed an FIR though Varma insulted a woman publicly by commenting on her physical appearance and asked her to act in GST 2.
During the TV Channel debate on Wednesday, Women's Organizations have demanded AP Women's Commission Chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari to take stringent action. AP Home Minister Nimmakayala Chinna Rajappa directed Visakha Police Commissioner to book case against Varma.
Already, RGV faced interrogation in the case filed by Women Activist Devi. The filmmaker was interrogated by Hyderabad's CCS Police few days ago and he could be arrested anytime soon.
