Another Indian Cricketer Announced Retirement

2020 is certainly not a good year for cricket fans. Two of the most loved Indian cricketers announced their retirement from international cricket making this year even worse.

Now one more cricketer joined the list of cricketers who bid goodbye to cricket. Former Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.

35-year-old Patel took to the Microblogging site Twitter to announce his retirement news. Patel ended his eighteen years long cricketing career with his retirement.

In a long note shared on his Twitter handle, the wicketkeeper-batsman thanked each and everyone who stood by him throughout his career. He especially thanked the BCCI for trusting him.

Parthiv Patel made his international debut when he was 19 and played across formats. He represented India for the first time in 2002 when the men in blue toured England.

In his career, Parthiv Patel played 25 Tests, 39 ODIs, and two T20s. He scored 934, 736, and 36 runs in the three formats respectively. The last time, he represented India in the Test series is in 2018 when India played against South Africa.

In the Indian Premier League, Parthiv played for three teams. He first played for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2013. Later he played for Mumbai Indians between 2015-17. Currently, he is playing for the RCB.
