Another Telangana Congress Leader To Donn Bjp Shawl

Update: 2021-02-21 11:44 GMT
The Congress party which is struggling in Telangana has faced a major setback after a former Legislator has decided to quit the party and wear the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) shawl soon.

Media reports claim that ex-MLA, Medchal DCC president Kuna Srisailam Goud is all set to bid goodbye to the Congress party. It is said that he has sent his resignation letter to TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy.

It has been widely reported that the MLA was not happy with the leadership of the Telangana wing of the Congress party and opined that the party has failed to raise its voice for the people in the state.

The reports of his resignation came when the Telangana wing of Congress is suffering from internal issues between the leaders. The Congress leaders have skipped the Padayars started by Revanth Reddy in support of farmers.

According to the media reports, he is in constant touch with BJP National Vice President D.K. Aruna and Telangana BJP state head Bandi Sanjay Kumar and the former MLA left to the national capital with them reportedly.

Srisailam Goud emerged victorious in the MLA elections from the Qutbullapur Assembly as an independent candidate. He joined Congress before the 2014 elections and contested the polls. But he lost the elections. He suffered a loss in the 2019 elections as well.

Leaders bidding goodbye to the Congress party is making the part even more, weaker in the state. First of all, the Telangasns wing of Congress has fewer leaders and they too leaving the party is an area of concern.

Earlier in December 2020, Actress-turned-politician Vijayasanthi joined the BJP party. Now, Goud is the second leader from the Congress party to donn the saffron party shawl in a span of months.
