AP Cabinet Meet: No Decision, Only Discussion?

Update: 2019-12-27 06:51 GMT
AP Government was expected to take a decision on the proposals suggested by Expert Panel-led by GN Rao on the development model for capital. In the last minute, State Government changed its strategy and decided to limit Today's cabinet meeting to a debate on the GN Rao Panel proposals on capital. This could be a nice move in the wake of protests staged by Amaravati Farmers and firm opposition from political parties.

While making an announcement about the proposed 3 Capitals on the final day of Assembly Session, CM Jaganmohan Reddy made it clear that final decision will be taken only after holding discussions with everyone. Will the YCP Government hold an All-Party Meeting? Whether if Govt collects the feedback from the people of every constituency in the state?

On the other hand, Vijay Sai Reddy and Council of Ministers are sending a message that GN Rao Proposals will be approved by the Cabinet in Today's meeting. Govt is also aware of the risk that delaying the decision on capital could lead to Law & Order situation.

YCP Government wishes to offer an assurance to Amaravati Farmers about their future before going ahead with the 3 Capitals proposal. At the same time, It might take the concerns expressed by political parties over following the South Africa Model.
