It's been eight years since divided Andhra Pradesh was formed. Sadly, the state has no steady capital. The previous government proposed Amaravati capital. However, Amaravati went for a toss after the YCP came into power. Jagan took a u-turn and said that the state will have three capitals for the state.
The AP government is trying hard to see that there will be three capitals. Even when the High Court said Amaravati should be developed and the Amaravti farmers are going for a yatra, the government is not moved by this and it's busy making plans to have three capitals for the decentralization of development.
Providing more clarity on this, AP IT minister Gudivada Amarnath reportedly told the media that the shore city will be the next capital by the next Academic year. This is a big claim by the Cabinet Minister. This says the govt might be in plans to go for the decentralisation of development.
At regular intervals, the YCP has been saying that Vizag will be the executive capital given the facilities it has. A few Ministers and even Vijaya Sai Reddy said many times that Vizag will be the capital as it has good facilities.
It is said that the works are underway for this and the official information might come out anytime soon. A few offices are being readied in the shore city to facilitate the ruling in the city.
The state government recently withdrew the three capitals bill saying that there are a few issues in the bill. Detecting all the drawbacks, the government will table a new bill in the Assembly. Before tabling the bill, the ruling party is releasing fillers in this regard.
