Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has given nod for the draft Capital Regional Development Authority (CRDA) Bill. It also approved transfer of assets and liabilities of Vijayawada-Guntur-Tenali-Mangalagiri Urban Development Authority to the CRDA. The CRDA Bill reaches Assembly on December 19th.

Rs. 1,000 crore and Rs. 250 crore has been allotted to CRDA as Development Fund and Working Capital respectively.
AP Cabinet also given its approval to make changes to the Forest Act to increasing the imprisonment (3 years to 10 years) and fine (Rs 10 lakhs) for red sanders smugglers.
