The Andhra Pradesh cabinet meeting that took place today took some crucial decisions which might land the opposition Telugu Desam Party(TDP) as the cabinet called for a CBI probe into the schemes during the TDP regime.
The cabinet meeting chaired by CM Jagan Mohan Reddy took a call in this regard after the cabinet sub committee submitted its report on the irregularities during the ruling of the previous government.
The cabinet has figured out some irregularities in the scheme like Chandranna Sankranti Kanuka, Ramzan Tofa, along with the AP Fiber grid which encouraged the committee to call for a probe.
The YSR Cheyutha scheme also got a nod from the cabinet. This scheme aims at providing financial assistance to BC, SC, ST, and minority women who will be getting Rs 50,000 each in the coming four years. This scheme will be started by CM Jagan Mohan Reddy from the 12th of August.
Along with giving a nod to the YSR Cheyutha scheme, the state cabinet also discussed the Ramayapatnam port issue and the tenders will be called by the end of August month likely.
