AP Chief Whip Warns Opposition For Politicizing The Schemes

Andhra Pradesh Chief Whip Gadikota Srikanth Reddy lashed out at the opposition for finding fault with the government, despite implementing various welfare schemes even though the ongoing pandemic left a burden on the economy.

"I wonder why some people make the fuss out of the schemes. We are implementing welfare schemes for beneficiaries irrespective of their caste and religion. The government spent Rs 28,122 crores on welfare schemes in the span of six months," whip Said.

He addressed the media in the YSRCP Party Office in Tadepalli and listed out the schemes implemented by the government.

The whip said, 1,068 new ambulances were started in Vijayawada equipped with modern life support systems that aim at providing better medical attention. He lauded the efforts made by CM Jagan to assure safe conditions in the state.

He listed out the welfare schemes implemented by the government starting with YSR Vahana Mitra, YSR Rythu Bharosa, and YSR Pension Kanuka that lends a helping hand to the poor.

Under the Vahana Mitra, auto-taxi drivers will be getting a financial aid of Rs 10,000 to help them who went through losses with the pandemic. A total of  Rs 262.49 was released for the scheme so far.

On the other hand, YSR Rythu Bharosa will lend a helping hand to the  49,43,593 farmers and for the scheme, the state so deposited  Rs .3,675.25 in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.

The whip even took a sharp dig at opposition TDP's claim that the government schemes benefit only the supporters and workers of the party and said, we don't select the beneficiaries based on their party, we select them based on their status.
