Non-bailable warrant issued against India captain MS Dhoni in Anantapur court in magazine case. Recently a report was published on Business Today magazine and it showed Dhoni as God Vishnu on the cover page with the title "God of big deals". A  petition filed by VHP leader Shyam Sundar stating that the cover story image hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus

Court responding to the petition had earlier issued summons to the cricketer but  Dhoni did not heed to the summons. In the latest update to the controversy, the court has issued non-bailable warrant against the cricket captain on Friday after he failed to respond to court order.

A similar petition regarding the same cover page story was filed by RTI activist Jayakumar Hiremath in a Bangalore court in 2013 but Dhoni responding to it clarified that he didn’t posed as god but it was a morphed work by others. In his defence, Dhoni had said he did not pose as God and pleaded that the complaint filed against him was frivolous and the criminal proceedings needed to be quashed. In September 2015, the Supreme Court had stayed criminal proceedings against Dhoni in the same case.
