The ruling YSRCP government awarded its leaders Penumatsa Suresh and Zakia Khanum, by giving them posts. The duo took oath as members of the Legislative Council (MLC) today. The leader's oath in the upper house was administered by the Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council Shariff Mohammed Ahmed.
According to the information, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pushpasreevani, Amzath Bhasha, Government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, AP Whip Srikanth Reddy, MLAs Appala Naidu, Jogi Ramesh, Malladi Vishnu, and MLC Venugopal Reddy were present during the ceremony.
Soon after the oath-taking ceremony, the advisor for the state government Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy hailed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for sending Zakia Khanum, a minority woman to the Upper House
The second leader who was sent to the Upper House Penumatsa Suresh is Sabashiva Raju's son who is a close aide of Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Referring to the leader duo, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said, leaders who believe in the party will be given opportunities and this instance proves that.
