AP Government Appoints IAS Adityanath Das At Next Chief Secretary

The Andhra Pradesh government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan has appointed IAS officer Adityanath Das as the next Chief Secretary to the government. He will take charge as the CS on December 31.

Adityanath Das who will take charge as the next Chief Secretary will replace the serving Chief Secretary to the government, Neelam Sawhney. The government took the decision as Sawhney's term ends on the 31st of December.

The orders issued by the state government states that, after completion of her term as the Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary, she will serve as the Principal Advisor to the Chief Minister.

Looking at the background and the details of the next Chief Secretary, Adityanath Das was born in Bihar. He went to Banaras Hindu University to get his BSc Hons (Bachelor of Science Honours) degree.

After completing his BSC, he went to International Studies (IS) at the Jawaharlal Nehru University.

He served as the Assistant Collector in Vijayanagaram and Vijayawada. Adityanath Das has rendered his services as Joint Collector of Krishna District.

The IAS officer has served as the collector of Warangal, Municipal Administration Commissioner, and Director, Secretary of Irrigation Department, and Principal Secretary of the Irrigation department.
