The Andhra Pradesh government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan faced a super jolt from the Supreme Court after the court quashed the petition filed by the government.
The AP government knocked the doors of the Supreme Court challenging the stay orders issued by the Andhra Pradesh High Court regarding land distribution in Amaravati and R-5 Zone.
The Supreme Court which heard the case directed the state government to deal with the case in the High Court itself and Affirmed the High Court in this regard.
The apex court went on to say that the orders issued by the High Court possess Preliminary evidence and it's better if the case is resolved in High Court only. The court refused the lift the stay orders.
The capital shifting case is postponed to Wednesday and directed to get the case listed with another constitution bench.
SA Bobde directed the Supreme Court registrar to list the case with another bench as relatives of Chief Justice of India(CJI) are representing the Amaravati farmers.
