AP Government Gives Big Blow To Cinema Halls In AP

The government of Andhra Pradesh has delivered a killer blow to the theatre managements in Andhra Pradesh over the ticket price hike and the permissions for extra shows.

The government has now asked Tahsildar offices all across the state to verify the B forms of every cinema hall in every nook and corner of Andhra Pradesh.

The thing that needs to be noted here is that more than half of the cinema theatres in Andhra Pradesh might not have the necessary B forms that were asked to be verified by the government.

Failure to provide the B form can lead to the seize of the theatres and further action as well. This is a strong move from the government of Andhra Pradesh.

The Jagan-led government is visibly vexed with the high court suspending the G.O 35 passed by the state government which caps the cinema ticket prices. Hence, the B form saga, says an observer who has been closely following the whole development.

The cinema theatre managements will now have to be ready with the B forms, in which it is mentioned that the ticket prices should be capped at pre-fixed prices.
