The infamous alleged insider trading in the Amaravati lands had reached the Supreme Court on Tuesday, with the state government challenging the high court orders in the case.
The Andhra Pradesh government has moved the Apex Court special leave petition earlier today and the top court had adjourned the next hearing of the petition to three weeks.
While adjourning the case hearing, the Supreme Court served noticed to the respondents to file their counters in regard to the case.
The AP Government has knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court against the verdict of the High Court in the insider issue. Back in January, the court dismissed the case by refusing the FIR filed by the AP CID.
The bench hearing case in its order said that the term insider trading cannot be used in the case as the owners of the lands sold their lands to the petitioners voluntarily.
The Andhra Pradesh government has been accusing the previous government of indulging in insider trading of lands during their regime. The case was also given to the AP CID.
