AP Government Strategical Move On Capital Shifting

Update: 2020-01-20 03:11 GMT
It has been widely reported that the AP government has made some key arrangements to pass the bill without much fuss. The opposition is still protesting on the government's decision to have three capitals.

Interestingly the Cabinet has approved the bill and getting approved in the state Assembly is left which looks very much possible

According to the insider reports, Amaravati will be the capital but no powers will remain in Amaravati. Reportedly, the High-power committee which was constituted to study the reports submitted by the GN Rao Committee and Boston Consulting Group(BCG) also recommended the idea of decentralization to development.

It has been widely reported that the bill was framed post many discussions and arguments were made in the early morning today. Reportedly a new bill will be introduced as AP Decentralisation and Equal Development of All Regions bill-2020 without mentioning the capital shifting from Amaravati.

After the Assembly meetings get completed we may get more clarity on the bill. Let's wait and see.
