The Andhra Pradesh government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy which is not leaving any stone unturned to contain the spread of the virus in the state took another good initiative.
The government took a good decision to start 54 new hospitals that aim at providing treatment for pandemic patients across the state. For this, the government will be spending Rs 1,000 crores in the coming six months.
On top of that, the concerned officials are making arrangements to equip 2,380 more beds across the state. The amount of Rs 1,000 crore was allotted to improve the infrastructure and recruit new doctors and medical staff.
On the other hand, AP which is conducting more pandemic tests is dedicated around Rs 6.5 crore for pandemic tests daily which in turn adds to Rs 200 crore per month.
Andhra Pradesh added a record 8,147 fresh infections on Friday and the total cases in the state zoomed to 80858. So far, 933 people succumbed to respiratory disease.
