The Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam' program continues to hit the headlines for various reasons. The ruling YCP in the state started the program to make the legislators meet the people and make them understand the welfare schemes the government has been implementing.
Most of the time we hear the legislators facing setbacks during the meeting as they could not answer the questions the people ask them. Not just the MLAs, even the Cabinet Ministers could not answer voters why they are forced to pay big amounts as taxes. Recently we saw how a person shocked the MLA by saying they are getting welfare schemes from their money.
Now Minister of Revenue of Andhra Pradesh Dharmana Prasada Rao made some interesting comments on the condition of roads in the state and said the potholes were left unrepaired by the previous government and they might have become bigger.
His comments are interesting as YCP has been in power in the state for over three years and there is no big development the party has done in the state. Forget about development, the government is not even able to repair the roads.
Understanding his comments we might have to admit that the YCP did not even repair the potholes on the national highways. Not repairing internal roads is one thing and leaving the national highways is a big concern. The potholes get bigger only if they are not repaired.
