AP Govt Wrote To SC Registrar To Hold Urgent Hearing On Three Capitals Bill

The Andhra Pradesh which is very strong on the decision to have three capitals for the state, each one for legislative, executive, and judiciary made another move in this regard.

The Andhra Pradesh government knocked the doors of the Supreme Court and filed a special leave petition to conduct the urgent hearing today on shifting the capital shifting.

Earlier, the Andhra Pradesh High Court issued status quo on the three capitals bills till the 14th of August. The AP government moved the Supreme court to seek a stay order on this.

The Supreme Court is expected to hear the case on Monday. With the case not coming for hearing the Andhra Pradesh government wrote to Apex Court registrar and requested to hold the urgent hearing today.

In the letter to the Supreme Court registrar, the AP government requested to hold the hearing very soon and cited that the petition copy was sent to the defendants as well.
