Most of the TDP Leaders had voluntarily resigned to the official posts after YSR Congress came into power in May this year. However, Varla Ramaiah is yet to tender his resignation as APSRTC Chairman even though he was appointed by the previous government.
The other day, YSR Congress Government served notices to Varla Ramaiah setting a 1-Month Deadline for him to offer his resignation.
Actually, The term of APSRTC Chairman is only for one year. Varla Ramaiah was appointed as RTC Chairman by TDP Government on April 25th, 2018. Which means, The TDP Leader has been continuing in the post inspite of the completion of the tenure.
Transport Department Chief Secretary & RTC MD Krishna Babu offered one month time for Varla Ramaiah to resign as per Section-8 of APSRTC 1950 Act. Even Vijayawada and Kadapa Zonal Chairman's were served notices for the same reason.
