Pulivendula APCARL To Get Vaccine Manufacturing Unit

In the wake of the ongoing pandemic spreading its deadly wings, the Andhra Pradesh Centre for Advanced Research on Livestock Limited (APCARL) came up with a piece of good news on the vaccine to cure the virus.

The AP government led by CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the  Immunologix India Pvt Ltd (IGY) to structure a vaccine manufacturing unit at Pulivendula APCARL

The AP Government which is exploring all the possible ways to establish a vaccine manufacturing center in the state took a big step with this development. The company will be investing Rs 50 crores in the unit.

As per the memorandum of understanding (MOU), the process to manufacture the vaccine will be started in 2021. The manufacturing unit will also focus on producing vaccines for various diseases in cattle.

All the required facilities for the manufacturing unit will be provided by the state government. Along with producing vaccines, the unit will also provide employment for 100 professionals and several staff members.

Once, the requirements of the state are fulfilled in terms of the vaccines fro the cattle, the state will also export the vaccines for other states too.
