If there is anything that is awaited by the Tollywood film industry, then it is surely the GO on regularizing the movie ticket prices in Andhra Pradesh. As the members of the Tollywood film industry met the Chief Minister earlier, they want to know if the talks paid off or not.
With Bheemla Nayak facing the wrath of the ticket prices issue currently in the state, the makers of other films that are gearing up for the release are hoping that the government would make an announcement on the issue so that their doubts would be cleared.
It is said that the Government Order on the ticket prices regulation is likely to come in a few days after the Shivarathri festival. As per the information, the government had fixed a date and after the festival, the GO might be issued.
All eyes are on the GO given the list of films that are awaiting release. Pan-India films and big-ticket films will hit the theatres soon and for the same, the makers are hoping for the issuance of the Government Order.
The much-awaited films like Prabhas Radhe Shyam, multi starrer RRR, and Megastar Chiranjeevi's Acharya are in the queue to hit the theatres. Starting with Radhe Shyam, the other films will follow the release schedule.
It has to be mentioned here that Andhra Pradesh Cinematograph Minister Perni Nani had earlier said that the GO on the price regulations was supposed to be launched but got delayed with Mekapati Gautham Reddy passing away.
The controversial GO on the price regulation was brought by the Andhra Pradesh government earlier last year. The GO says that the movie tickets should be sold for the tickets that were fixed by the government.
As the ticket prices fixed by the government for the theatres are very less, the film industry met the Andhra Pradesh government a few times to see that the government understands their issues and problems.
A few weeks back, a meeting between Tollywood industry members and Andhra Pradesh Government took place. We might get clarity on how the government will deal with the issue in a few days.
