NTR Vaidya Seva is TDP Government's version of Aarogya Sri which is meant to provide medical treatment for BPL Families. From now, Poor Patients covered under NTR Vaidya Seva could avail treatment only in AP Hospitals.
TDP Government took a stand that Patients undergoing treatment in Hyderabad Hospitals can't avail the benefits of NTR Vaidya Seva. At the same time, AP MLAs, MLCs, Ex-MLAs and Government Employees have been given an exemption from this rule.
Around 12 lakh AP People having BPL Cards and covered by NTR Vaidya Seva live in Hyderabad. AP Government issued a GO asking Hyderabad-based Hospitals to stop services under its medical scheme to these BPL Families. Which means, These people will have to travel to AP and get admitted in any of the hospitals in the TDP-ruled State to avail benefits of NTR Vaidya Seva.
