Kanudkuri Sunil Kumar, a native of Chavatapalem in Venkatachalam mandal of Nellore district, became the talk of town after filing nomination in Delhi Assembly polls to contest against Aam Admi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal. This B.Tech Graduate is contesting as an Independent candidate and given priority to Telugu/South Indian pride in his campaign.
About 13 candidates are in race for New Delhi Assembly constituency including AAP's Arvind Kejriwal, Nupur Sharma of BJP and Kiran Wali of Congress. Three Independent Candidates including Sunil Kumar too were contesting the polls.
New Delhi Assembly segment have about 12,000 Telugu voters. Sunil Kumar's Father is working as Pay and Accounts Officer in AP Bhavan and Mother works for Delhi Congress as South Cell vice president. "Telugu people were ignored here and hence decided to fight for Telugu pride," claims Mr. Kumar.
