Hearing a quash petition filed by TDP Supremo, former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, and former Minister P Narayana challenging the CID cases in connection with the alleged Amaravati Scam, the  Andhra Pradesh High Court quashed the cases and stayed the investigation for four weeks.

Senior Supreme Court Advocate Sidharth Luthra and former advocate general Dammalapati Srinivas Dammalapati Sririnav represented Chandrababu Naidu and P Narayana respectively in the High Court.

Both Counsels argued that these cases are politically motivated. Sidharth Luthra cited the example of the case filed by YSRCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy in the Note-to-Vote issue and said the petitioners are being subjected to attack by the government.

After hearing the arguments of the counsels, the High Court issued interim orders to stay the investigations. Adjourning the next hearing to April 16, High Court directed CID and Alla Ramakrishna Reddy to file a counter affidavit in this regard.

Andhra Pradesh Additional AG Naga Bhushan told the court that 35 acres of assigned land in Guntur's Navaluru was given to others and maintained that the same happened in other places too.

The Judge said the stay order applies to Chandrababu Naidu and P Narayana only and not to others who are involved in this case as the duo only knocked on the doors of the High Court.
