Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly may be cancelled by the State Government. They are indications that YSR Congress party is facing problems from the main opposition Telugu Desam Party and it wanted to do what TDP party did in 1985.
The TDP led by late NT Rama Rao which won the polls but the Congress was in the majority in the council. NT Rama Rao passed a resolution in assembly for cancelling the council and sent to the centre which approved it.
Now a similar situation has arisen with the YSRCP which has the majority in the Assembly and lacks numbers in the council. YSR Congress party has 9 MLC's and TDP has over 30 MLC's.
