AP: Mayor Shocks Theatres by Asking to Reserve Tickets!

Pan-India star Prabhas's much-awaited film Radhe Shyam which had postponed its release many times had found a day for the release. Radhe Shyam has arrived at the theatres and the fans are celebrating the movie like a festival. On the eve of the release, a letter is doing rounds across the social media platforms.

Mayor of Temple city Vijayawada Rayana Bhagya Lakshmi asked for 100 tickets per show for Radhe Shyam reportedly. In the letter, she said that the tickets should be sent to the Mayor's Chamber. The letter had caught everyone's attention after making its way to social media.

Though the letter was sent to a big multiplex, the rule applies to all the multiplexes within the city limits to set 100 tickets to the VMC for every show. In the letter, the Mayor said that the money for the tickets will be sent to the theatres but they have to reserve the tickets.

One wonders why the Mayor who holds such a position has asked the theatres to reserve the tickets as if it is essential. The reason she mentioned in the viral letter also raised many eyeballs. She said that the movie tickets will be given to the representatives.

The Mayor went on to say that the party workers and the corporators are asking for the tickets and the tickets will be given to them. The rule applies to every release and the tickets should be sent to the Mayor's office. Having said that, the Mayor had mentioned in the letter that the ticket money will be paid to the owners as cash.

'It is to inform that in Vijayawada Municipal Corporation limits every month various new cinemas are releasing in the malls. The party representatives and Ward corporators are requesting for arranging cinema tickets for new releases. Therefore, it is requested to provide 100 no.s of tickets for each show to the Hon'ble Mayor's Chamber, Vijayawada Municipal Corporation in your cinema theatre without fail. The necessary ticket charges will be paid in cash. From the next new releases, this procedure needs to be followed (sic),' the Mayor of the temple city Vijayawada said in the viral letter.
