A beautiful incident was reported during the second phase of the Panchayat elections In Andhra Pradesh. A woman contestant delivered a baby girl after casting her vote on Saturday.
Going into details, Leela Kanakadurga is contesting as a sarpanch from the Korukallu gram panchayat in Kalidindi Mandal in Krishna district. On Saturday she has reached the polling booth and cast her vote.
After casting her vote, Leela Kanakadurga developed labour pains. The election staff and the police personnel at the polling booth immediately rushed her to the Kaikaluru Government Hospital.
The sarpanch candidate gave birth to a healthy baby girl. The doctors declared both mother and daughter safe. Her family members rushed to the hospital and congratulated her.
