In the most shocking development, Andhra Pradesh reported 351 fresh cases of the pandemic in the past 24 hours and the total cases in the state rose to 7,071. This is the highest surge of single-day cases in the state so far. AP took only four days to surpass 7k cases from 6k cases.
With two fresh casualties, the total casualities in connection with the dreaded virus climbed to 90 in Andhra Pradesh.
As per the health bulletin issued by the Health Department, 15,188 samples were tested in the past 24 hours, and 351 persons were found positive of the contagious disease.
Out of the newly reported cases, 275 infections were locals, while 50 cases were from other states Returnees and 26 are Foreign Returnees.
On a brighter note, 3,641 patients managed to recover from the dreaded virus and got discharged from the hospitals accordingly. On the other hand, there are 3,340 active cases in the state.
