AP Government has taken the call to shift the operations of State Secretariat to new capital region by June next year. From June 1st, 2016, AP Secretariat would be functioning from either Vijayawada or Amaravati. A circular has been issued to all the Departments linked to Secretariat in this regard.
The Circular clearly mentions all the Departments & Heads of Departments (HoDs) need to make arrangements to shift to new capital before June 2016. It also directs HoDs to inform employees and other staff in their respective departments about the decision of AP Government.
AP CM Chandrababu Naidu set a best example by functioning from Vjayawada since the last few months. This move stopped employees from making any excuses to shift to the new capital region.
Even though Hyderabad remain as common capital of Andhra Pradesh for 10 years as per AP Reorganisation Act 2014, Running of administration from here won't be delivering desired results and hence Chief Minister opted for shifting as early as possible.
