Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram escaped unhurt in a minor accident near Chintada village between Srikakulam and Amadalavalasa on Saturday afternoon.
According to reports, an autorickshaw crashed into the convoy of Tammineni Sitaram. To avoid a head-on collision with an autorickshaw, the driver of Tammineni's vehicle veered into the adjacent paddy fields. None was injured in the incident.
Tammineni Sitaram was returning home to Amadalavalasa after a video conference with the Chief Minister Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy at the Srikakulam Collector office when the accident occurred.
According to police, there were two passengers in the auto at the time of the accident. Auto diver and one passenger sustained minor injuries and admitted to the government general hospital. Police registered the case and investigation is underway.
