AP Congress unit has been desperate to win the hearts of Seemandhra People who taught them a fitting lesson during 2014 General Elections. Hence, Congress Leaders took up the Special Category Status issue and doing everything it can to make people believe they are fighting for the welfare of the state.
After the 1 crore Signature campaign, Staging protests once in a while & Lodging police complaints against TDP & BJP Leaders, AP Congress launched a new Campaign with the agenda of sending 1 crore SMSes to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Union Ministers from the State (M Venkaiah Naidu, Nirmala Sitharaman, Ashok Gajapati Raju, Sujana Chowdary).
SMSes Campaign would be organised from September 23rd to 30th. Youth Congress and National Students Union of India (NSUI) will be playing key role in accomplishing the mission.
Responding on the Campaigns, Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu opined Congress divided AP for political gains and blamed it for not including the provision of Special Status in AP Reorganisation Act 2014.
