Prime Minister Narendra Modi is mulling to make Governor ESL Narasimhan as the next Vice President of India.
Reportedly, National Security Adviser Ajit Doval maintained good relations with the Governor of Telugu States. He served as the chief of Intelligence Bureau in the past and the only Governor appointed by UPA Government to survive in NDA rule. Narasimhan offered few valuable suggestions when India launched surgical strikes in PoK. He also succeeded in reducing the friction between Chief Ministers of Telugu States to some extent.
As ESL Narasimhan's Term as Governor will be ending on May 3rd this year, Modi wishes to use his services as Vice President. If Modi choses him, Even Congress Party would be supporting his candidature in both the Houses of Parliament.
