AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has ordered all the district collectors an officials concerned to integrate the available water resources to increase ground water levels in the region. He stressed the need of effective utilization of water resources and their conservation as the demand is only going to grow with each passing year.
Naidu said: "AP will be a role model in next 5 years when it comes to utilizing water resources. Our aim is to make it a drought-proof state during this period".
The chief minister pointed out utilization of drift irrigation, small lift irrigation schemes and sprinklers in dry lands will help reach the goal.
Babu informed Polavaram will be a life-line for the Andhra Pradesh. He opined this Mega project will meet the water needs of the Godavari districts.
