AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has already working on the plan to set up three IMax theatres in the state - One each in New Capital Region, Visakhapatnam and Tirupati.
The IMAX projects include Mega Convention Centres capable of handling 2,000 guests, 3-star hotels, shopping & exhibition malls and food courts. Each IMAX project requires a 10 acre land for setting up MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) centres with Imax. Infrastructure Department is looking after the MICE Centres.
State Government received proposals of building multiplexes from Private Companies in all the 13 districts. At least one multiplex will come up in each of major towns and district headquarters in the state. Within 4 years from now, The number of Multiplexes in Andhra Pradesh could grow up by 10-15 times.
