Apple iPhones to be made in India's IT Hub

Be ready for 'Made in India' iPhones. Yes, The brand new Apple iPhones will be made at the factory in Bengaluru.

Karnataka Government gave its consent for Apple to kickstart manufacturing of its iPhones in the Bengaluru facility. The production of iPhones in India is likely to start in June 2017. This make India only the 3rd Nation in the World to assemble iPhones.

Wistron, Taiwanese Firm, will be making iPhones at the Industrial Hub of Peenya in Bengaluru. Apple has already published the job openings for various posts in the Bengaluru facility.

Now, Karnataka Government is wooing Apple to manufacture few components of the iPhone in the Bengaluru facility itself.
