Here's the biggest confirmation that the BJP Government at the Centre is targeting KCR and his money bags. The IT sleuths have conducted day-long raids on the companies belonging to KCR's best buddy Myhome Jupally Rameshwara Rao. Over 200 IT sleuths descended on the offices and residences of Rameshwara Rao and his close associated and conducted raids till late in the evening. Even TV9 premises, which Rameshwara Rao's company Alanda Media has taken over, has been raided.
This is being seen as a direct attack on Telangana CM KCR as Rameshwara Rao is believed to be what Ramoji Rao is to Chandrababu Naidu. Of late, Rameshwara Rao is on a media acquisition spree. He has acquired several Telugu TV channels and is on way to monopolise the media in Telangana. There were allegations of huge money laundering in these acquisitions. Hence these raids are being considered significant pointers to what is in store for the TRS in general and KCR in particular.
Interestingly, Jupally was raided by the IT sleuths in January 2017 too. But, everything was hush hush that time. Questions are now being raised as to whether this is only a beginning and whether more TRS money bags will face IT raids in the days to come. Some, however, see this as a warning to the TRS and KCR. Whatever, there is disquiet in the businessmen and industrialists deemed to be closer to KCR.
