Several Political Parties have extended support to the Bill tabled by NDA Government in the Parliament for revoking Article 370 which grants special status for Jammu & Kashmir. Even those Parties which opposed other bills moved by the Centre has been supportive of PM Narendra Modi in this matter.
Congress, JD (U), SP, RJD, RSP, CPI, CPM, MDMK, Kerala Congress, Muslim League, Jammu & Kashmir-based Parties National Conference and PDP opposed the bill revoking Article 370 in Rajya Sabha. MDMK Chief & Rajya Sabha MP Vaigo expressed fear that this move of Centre could make J&K into another Kosavo, East Taimur and South Sudan.
On the other hand, Aam Aadmi Party led by Arvind Kejriwal came in support of the Bill. Delhi CM exuded confidence that this move would restore peace in Jammu & Kashmir. This is a biggest victory of NDA Government as Kejriwal is known to be Modi's arch rival.
YSR Congress Party backed the bill scrapping Article 370. It's Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Sai Reddy appreciated PM Narendra Modi for taking a tough call.
Shiv Sena welcomed the move of Union Government. This BJP-ally told Modi is capable of merging Pak-occupied Kashmir and Baluchistan in India.
Odisha's BJD, Tamil Nadu's AIADMK, UP's BSP and Assam Ghan Parishad extended support to the bill.
