Reddy Girl Creates History In Gymnastics

India's Aruna Budda Reddy emerged as the first Indian Gymnast to bag an individual medal at the Gymnastics World Cup in Melbourne by scoring 13.649. She managed to clinch a Bronze Medal.

The 22-Year-Old is a former Black Belt & Karate Trainer. She won a national medal for the first time in 2005. She finished at 14th Position in 2014 Commonwealth Games and 9th Place at the Asian Games. At the 2017 Asian Championships, She occupied 6th position in the women's vault.

Pranati Nayak is the other Indian Gymnast who is in contention for Gymnastics World Cup medal in the same category. She finished 6th with a score of 13.416.

Ashish Kumar was the first Indian to win medal in Gymnastics by clinching bronze at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Dipa Karmakar creates history by becoming the first Indian to qualify for Olympics in 52 years. She missed bronze medal narrowly in 2016 Rio Olympics.
