Bharat Ratna - A Club Of Brahmins: Owaisi

Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi made sensational comments on India's Highest Civilian Honour. He dared to say Bharat Ratna is a club of Brahmins and of those who belong to the Upper Castes.

AIMIM Chief firmly believes selection process to identify the eligible individuals for India's Highest Civilian Award was never transparent. Citing the Bharat Ratna honour to Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, He stressed that only Upper Caste People were preferred for such prestigious awards. He even complains that Deen Dayal Upadhyaya was awarded Bharat Ratna inspite of facing charges of forgery.

Owaisi questioned how many Dalits, Muslims, Adivasis, Poor and Upper Caste received Bharat Ratna till date. He told Bharat Ratna to BR Ambedkar wasn't presented willingly, but out of necessity.

NDA Government awarded Bharat Ratna to Vajpayee, Pranab Mukherjee, Singer Bhupen Hazarika and Social Activist Nanaji Deshmukh.
