Update: 2016-09-19 08:23 GMT
Union Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju remained silent on Special Category Status issue post the announcement of Special Package. He also didn't react when Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan questioned why he wasn't resigning even after Centre backtracked on Special Status.

During his visit to Srikakulam district, Ashok Gajapathi Raju was irked with the questions of media persons on Special Status. Initially, He tried to divert the attention by saying its an issue which need to be discussed at the National level. But, Reporters did give him any such chance and finally he tried to present a new version.

Ashok Gajapathi Raju: 'People have faith on State & Central Governments when it comes to Special Status. As Union Ministers, We appealed to PM Modi to accord Special Status on several occasions. AP CM Chandrababu toured Delhi for more than 30 times. There is confusion on the issue as few people demand Special Status and the rest want Special Package. Opposition Parties were deliberately making allegations. Everybody should collectively strive for the development of AP'.
