Ashwin's heroics with Bat, bowlers steer India to a comfortable position

Team India, which faced a humiliating loss in the hands of the English team led by Joe Root in the first Test has bounced back. With the heroics of Rohit Sharma, India added 329 to the scoreboard in the first innings for the loss of 10 wickets.

Indian bowlers have done wonders with the ball, especially Ravichandran Ashwin, who took a fifer, 29th fifer in his career. India has managed to bowl out England for 134 giving a lead of 195 runs to India.

Ravichandran Ashwin's century helped India to post a score of 286 runs. Ashwin became the second Indian batsman after Kapil Dev to score more than 1000 runs and claim over 100 wickets.

Chasing a mammoth target of 481 runs, England lost three early wickets, thanks to Axar Patel and Ashwin, who bagged two and one wickets respectively.

England 53/3 at stumps on day three of the second test. England is 429 runs behind the target with seven wickets in hand and two days left in the game.

Team India led by skipper Virat Kohli is aiming to take revenge for the first Test loss, while the England team wants to win the second test and take the lead from one to two in the Test series.
