About 48 out of 56 renowned Astrologers and Panchangam Pandits in Telugu States have signed a representation given to Telangana Government demanding celebration of Ugadi festival on March 28th, 2017.

Actually, Telangana Government declared March 29th as a holiday to celebrate the auspicious Telugu New Year. Majority of the Astrologers have raised objection and appealed State Government to prepone the holiday to March 28th.

Astrologers following Drugganitha Panchangam want Ugadi to be celebrated on March 28th. This include Kanchipeetam and Astrologer P Srinivasa Gargeya. Whereas, TTD & Srugeri Peetham wants the festival on March 29th.

What will Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao do now? Will he stick to his decision or change it respecting the views expressed by the majority? Let's see!
